Gas Separation Membranes
We have invented a process that will increase the selectivity and/or permeability of mixed matrix membranes.
Mixed matrix membranes consist of organic polymers and inorganic particles, where the particles improve the selective function of the polymer phase. By applying the CondAlign technology, the efficiency can be increased.
Current state of the art for mixed matrix membranes only include stochastic distribution of particles, which does not allow the efficiency of the particle embedment to reach its full potential.
CondAlign has an ongoing R&D project funded by The Research Council of Norway in co-operation with NTNU and Sintef. We have started the patenting process and we will be able to present further technological advances in the fall of 2019.
