The Production Process: Roll-to-Roll
At our facilities in Oslo, we have two R2R coating-lines with integrated CondAlign modules.
Roll-to-roll (R2R) is a continuous, low-cost manufacturing method. The process is fast and easily implemented in high-speed industrial production of flexible materials.
How does it work?
The machine is a development platform for the technology and can handle a wide range of different materials. Further scale-up to continuous large volume production is mainly an engineering matter.
The CondAlign technology can also be retrofitted into existing R2R lines. CondAlign’s R&D scientists have firsthand expertise on how to modify the technology to various materials and processes.
Efficient in all ways
Manufacturing of flexible materials by use of R2R is known to be energy efficient, cost efficient (large volume production) and material efficient (high yields).
