About us

CondAlign is a Norwegian technology company, based on know-how and science from the Norwegian Institute for Energy Technology (IFE).

CondAlign’s technology is in essence a method to structure and align particles in a polymer matrix by using an electric field, then curing the matrix to lock the particles in place. In this way, permanent conductive chains are formed through the material.

Core activities/current status

CondAlign currently has seven full-time employees working on refining and developing core technology and business development. Core activities of the company are research and business development related to this groundbreaking technology. This includes improving and expanding the processes that enables next generation conductive films, and licensing of the technology to commercial partners.

History and owners

CondAlign AS was established in 2010 as a spin-off from the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) outside Oslo, Norway. Since 2012, The Venture Fund Norsk Innovasjonskapital III AS (NIK III), managed by Televenture Management, has been the majority share holder. We produced our first films in 2013, and the process was demonstrated on our Roll-to-Roll machine the year after. We moved to new premises in Oslo in 2015, allowing us to expand our lab and pilot production facilities. We signed our first commercial contract late 2015, and have since then been expanding our commercial activities considerably.
