We tailor-make conductive films for our technology partners to develop break-through products
Unique technology
CondAlign has a patented and ground-breaking technology for efficient production of conductive tape and membranes. We have an extensive IPR portfolio with 12 patent families. We participate in several soft-funding projects (EU-programs, Norwegian Research Council, Innovation Norway) to support customer projects.
Conductive tape
The conductive tape can be tailor-made to conduct either electricity or heat.
CondAlign’s portfolio of electrically conductive tapes has applications within flexible and hybrid electronics, such as next generation displays and wearable devices.
Thermal management is increasingly important for electrical vehicles and consumer electronics. CondAlign can design thermal interface materials for efficient removal of heat perpendicular to the heat source.
CCS – Carbon capture and storage
CondAlign’s unique technology can be used to manufacture porous membranes with uniform distribution of pores. These are being developed in collaboration with Sintef and NTNU with the planned application of carbon capture. The technology can be excellent for capture of carbon emissions from small-scale industries such as biogas.
History and owners
In 2020 we moved to new premises in Oslo. This allowed us to expand our lab, pilot production facilities to accelerate the development of CondAlign as a company.
2006: Research initiated at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), Kjeller, Norway
2010: CondAlign established
2012: CondAlign becomes a part of the venture fund NIK III portfolio. Installed first roll-to-roll (R2R) machine
2015: First customer project and first lab-scale machine
2017: License agreement signed
2019: Several customers and product development and verification projects
2020: Installation of industrial R2R machine
